AN OVERVIEW OF PEOPLE’S BEHAVIOR ABOUT FEVER SELF-MEDICATION IN SUKAMAKMUR VILLAGE, SUKAMAKMUR DISTRICT BOGOR REGENCY

In self-medication process, people need to know about knowledge with well-behave standard.
Therefore, people need clear, correct and reliable information so that the determination of
the type and amount of medicine can be taken based on rational reasons
The purpose of this study is an overview of the knowledge and behavior of the community
about self-medication of fever in Sukamakmur Village, Sukamakmur District, Bogor Regency,
West Java.
The sampling technique used simple random sampling technique and the number of
respondents is 212 people. Data analysis is conducted descriptively with correlation test. The
results of the bivariate analysis using the correlation test show that there is a significant
relationship between age, education, occupation and income on the level of knowledge about
self-medication of fever where the value of Approx. Sig <0.05. The results of the univariate
analysis show that the information on the behavior or habits of the community in
self-medication process during fever is not good enough. In conclusion, there is a
significant relationship between age, education, occupation and income on
self-medication knowledge of fever and people's behavior when fever is somewhat
unfavorable.
Dalam melakukan swamedikasi masyarakat memerlukan pengetahuan yang baik dan perilaku yang
benar. Oleh karena itu masyarakat membutuhkan informasi yang jelas, benar dan dapat dipercaya
agar penentuan kebutuhan jenis dan jumlah obat dapat diambil berdasarkan alasan yang rasional.
